  • Packaging
  • Costing, Marketing
  • Making Paper and Jute Bags
  • Batik Printing
  • Aipan and others

MH also organized the training of a batch of 10 local women producers as trainers at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. The training received from this well renowned institute proved very helpful in developing and improving designs of knitting. It opened the door for new avenues for low income group artisans.

MH helped in developing trainers within the community.

So far MH facilitated more than 8,000 women artisan from low income groups, covering 18 blocks -195 villages and 3 towns of Uttarakhand.

As a result of MH endeavor some women are earning through work at home, while more than 300 women are working through Self Help Group (SHGs). More than 500 women are directly working for an exporter thereby getting regular employment. Some women's groups are now registered as societies for example a WPG 'Bhagirathi Group' progressed to register as Society by the name 'Academy Samiti'.
